スタッフ全員で記念撮影しました。私にまでサプライズ表彰を下さいました。誉め方が上手な先生方です。その文化にも触れました。生徒たちにも、一人一人にどんなところが良かったか、どんな風に頑張ったかをコメントして表彰して下さいました。

４日間通して、楽しい活動、ていねいなサポート、そして賞賛、生徒を伸ばすヒントがたくさんあり、日本人スタッフにとっても大きな学びになりました。感謝のことばを以下にまとめてみました。閉会式で述べようと思っていたことですが、色々ハプニングありで、時間がなくなり、半分しかお伝えできなかったため、改めてここで感謝申し上げます。

I should say big thanks to all of the native teachers. They did their best all the time. With their earnest, warm heart support, our students have changed a lot. I think students have improved themselves in positive attitude, good English and cross-cultural understanding. That is our goal. I was so happy to see our students improved in each session.

I think Otori English Camp 2016 was huge success as much as last two years. Maybe even more than last two years. Because the lesson programs and lesson materials are well developed in many ways. The most successful part was planning, I admire. All parts of the activities were well organized and well prepared in order to reach our goal. Successful outdoor activities, such as the nature hike, the campfire, the night hike and games. Successful new ideas, such as the bus quiz, the passport interview, create an Olympic mascot, stadium, logo and so on. They were intended to give students a lot of chances to use English as much as possible. Then students could make a good performance at the final presentation. All was well done. So I can say the focus of all the lesson programs in 2016 must be super success.

I should say thank you again to all the native teachers. They were special teachers to encourage and motivate students through praise, support and a lot of fun. I really hope to see them again next year.
